Everything you need for a successful ESD flooring installation and long-term performance.
Regular maintenance ensures your ESD floor maintains its conductivity performance and appearance over its full service life.
Sweep or vacuum to remove dust and debris. Use a damp mop with a neutral pH cleaner.
Use an ESD-safe cleaning solution diluted in water. Avoid silicone-based or wax products.
Conduct resistance testing every 6–12 months using a calibrated ESD meter to verify compliance.
Replace damaged tiles promptly. Contact SC Flooring for replacement tiles and guidance.
Proper installation is critical for achieving the required ESD performance. Follow these steps for a compliant installation.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, flat (±3mm/3m), and free of contamination. Prime if necessary.
Install copper foil tape in a grid pattern (3.3m × 3.3m for tiles) connected to an earth ground point.
Apply conductive adhesive (120–180g/m²) evenly using a notched trowel. Allow flash-off time.
Lay tiles from centre outward in a pyramid pattern. Press firmly and roll with a 45kg roller.
Heat-weld seams using matching welding rod. After 24 hours curing, conduct resistance testing.
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) flooring is specially designed to safely dissipate static electricity from personnel and equipment to ground. It is essential in environments where electronic components, flammable substances, or sensitive data equipment is present.
SC Flooring's conductive ESD tiles meet the international standard resistance range of 10⁴ to 10⁶ Ω, providing reliable static control without causing electrical shock hazards.
